Born in Madagascar in 1962, the early life of this individual was marked by frequent moves, first to France and then later to Paris. As a teenager, he struggled in school but found solace in reading the works of Hesse and Dostoyevsky, sparking his interest in existential questions. His passion for philosophy and astrology grew as he delved into Plato’s Dialogues and books by André Barbault.

In the 1980s, his intellectual direction was profoundly influenced by Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, leading him to study myths, religions, and spirituality. After an early fascination with Asian spirituality, he developed an interest in the Kabbalah and Christianity. This shift in focus led him to pursue philosophy studies at the University of Fribourg, where he encountered influential professors and began a personal spiritual quest that took him to various locations around the world.

In 1986, he transitioned into a career as an editor, publishing books on philosophical and spiritual themes. However, in 1991, he resigned from his position to focus on academic research and writing, including a doctoral thesis on Buddhism in the West.
